What is "Secret Stars"?
Secret Stars, is a special way of spoiling and being spoiled! You are paired up with another Sister, and during the month, you will send her gifts and goodies on a "DAILY" basis. Yep daily, this is why it's called spoiling!
What do I have to do?
During the game you will contact your secret star as often as possible and do something nice for her and at the same time someone will be doing something nice for you. At the end of the 14 days you will reveal yourself to your assigned star either by sending a card, email or graphic. And the star that has been spoiling YOU will reveal themselves to YOU!! Sound simple? It is!
Please do not sign up for "Secret Stars" if you already know that you can not make this commitment. During our last Secret Star games we had a few disappointed members due to members NOT contacting the person we assigned them to. Let us know if there is an emergency so we can take care of it BEFORE we pair everyone up. Don't wait!

It would not be fair to the person that we would assign you to and that would be expecting to get a little attention during the game. You can imagine the disappointment and this is something we would like to prevent.
How do I keep my identity hidden?
Ok, you MUST make sure that your secret star doesn't know who you are. Everyone that participates MUST get a new email address that is different from the one they are presently using to disguise their identity. When filling out the application for your new email address do NOT use your own name.
Please email Star Mother Stef with your spoiling name, as soon as you do this, so we can make sure your email is coming through correctly!
Some of you may want to create WebPages.
Again, to hide your identity sign up for a new web space. Do not create a web page as part of your regular website since it's VERY simple to just go to the index page and then your star will know who you are. Instead be very very sneaky: GET a web space from tripod, angelfire or topcities, they are all free web servers. This is also very helpful if you want to leave a graphic in your buddy's Guest book - if you upload the graphic on your own server she will know your url and bingo.... there goes your cover.
What kind of "treats" can I give my star?
You can really spoil your star as much as you like and as often as you like but we ask that you contact her at least once every day. The Secret Star's Team has worked very hard to insure spoiling will be easy! Just visit Secret
Star's Links and you will find lots of spoiling ideas!
Cards, adoptions, graphics and other little treats that you can think of are encouraged. On the gift idea page we have provided a few graphics for you to use. Also, if you post on the
message board there are always MANY volunteers more than willing to help make a graphic for you. Just post a little note. Of course signing your star's guest book will also be a nice treat for her. You can do this as often as you like. . Everyone will spoil their stars to their best ability. All treats will come from the heart. We have put together a page of treats and idea!
What can I expect?
As mentioned before we INSIST that all those that participate contact their stars every day a card, an adoption, a flower, etc. Expect to be contacted THE FIRST DAY. Due to internet skills and experience, treats will vary but be assured this has nothing to do with how much YOUR star cares about you and how she wants to spoil you. We KNOW everyone will spoil their assigned Star to their best ability and this is what we ask for. In the past we have paired up stars and wonderful friendships have blossomed by just exchanging good thoughts, cards, notes, etc. Graphics, WebPages are nice, but just a bonus, a plus. This is NOT what these games are about. They are about meeting others, having fun and maybe even finding a friend. We hope you only have positive experiences. We can't guarantee them but we do work VERY hard trying to achieve this goal.
I haven't heard from my Star in 2 days.. Nobody loves me *sob*
So you signed up and haven't heard from your buddy....CONTACT US ASAP!!! Ok.. don't cry, don't post it on the message board...just email us right away so we can fix the problem. :-) Don't complain later!!!! If you have not heard from your buddy after 2 days you need to contact us immediately. The games don't last that long.. so don't waste time. Those who signed up for the games agreed to contact their star EVERY day. We will make NO exceptions and will drop those who do not play by these rules and reassign their star to someone else.If you KNOW you can not make this commitment for the month - do NOT sign-up. It's that simple. Many card services allow you to pre-send cards so if you know you will not be able to send a gift/card in a day or so USE this option. If you have a family or personal emergency PLEASE contact us so we can make the necessary arrangements. We have done this in the past and will be happy to work with you. If we do not know of a problem we can't help you and can't solve it.
